When they failed to, Salazar arrested them. But when he realizes that Yakko, Wakko, and Dot were still alive, he charged Thaddeus Plotz and Ralph to kill them. Years later, Salazar wanted to touch the wishing star first. He then overtaxed the citizens making them miserable to solve his bankruptcy. He invaded Warnerstock in a hostile take over while the kingdom of Warnerstock was struggling for power with itself, due to the death of their king, Sir Willam the Good. He sent the royal children, Yakko, Wakko and Dot, to the orphanage in Acme Falls to assure his rule over his newly forcefully taken kingdom. King Salazar was the ruler and dictator of the Kingdom of Ticktockia.
He is powerful, mean, ruthless, selfish, murderous, aggressive, dangerous, stubborn, power-hungry and greedy.
